A place of safety or refuge.

Below is a working list of agency resources and support services available to Survivors of sexual violence in Rhode Island and surrounding areas.

Rhode Island Resources​

24 Helpline RI

Any person who has experienced a crime in Rhode Island, or someone looking to support or provide information to a person in crisis, call 1800-494-8100 for free, confidential advocacy.

Blackstone Valley Advocacy Center

Located in Central Falls, BVAC's mission is to provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and to provide education and awareness on the issue of domestic violence.

​Day One

Located in Providence, Day One provides sexual assault treatment, intervention, education, advocacy, and prevention services to Rhode Islanders of all ages.

​Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County

Located in Wakefield, DVRC works collaboratively to offer safety, support, advocacy, education and a network of services to the residents of Washington County.

Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center

Located in Warwick, EBCC provides comprehensive services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.

​Progreso Latino

Located in Central Falls, Progreso Latino helps Rhode Island's Latino and immigrant communities achieve greater self-sufficiency and socio-economic progress by providing transformational program that support personal growth and social change.  

​Sojourner House

Located in Providence, Sojourner House promotes healthy relationships by providing culturally sensitive support, advocacy, housing, and education for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assualt, and human trafficking.

Women's Resource Center

Located in Newport and Warren, WRC empowers individuals and community by providing advocacy, education, and support services.

Massachusetts Resources

New Hope, Inc.

Located in Attleboro, MA, New Hope works with those impacted by sexual and domestic violence.  New Hope provides 24hr support line, counseling, trauma therapy, emergency shelter, courthouse advocacy, housing stabilization, community-based advocacy, sexual assault medical advocacy, supervised visitation, education, outreach, as well as prevention for those persons who use abuse in their intimate relationships.  New Hope is open to all victims of domestic and sexual violence regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, socioeconomic status, or education level. ​
