Across the United States, countless individuals experience sexual violence resulting in hospitalization. And after so many hours of being subjected to an intrusive sexual assault examination, victims are often discharged from the hospital wearing uniform scrubs or hospital gowns due to their clothing being collected for evidence. Although a much needed step in the investigative process, this outcome can be further traumatizing to a person who's just experienced sexual violence.
Haven Box strives to provide that human element of comfort that is very much needed after a victim has gone through this process. Our comfort boxes provide comfort items to survivors during the first few days/weeks after their experience. |
Haven BoxesHaven Boxes are donated directly to hospitals and provided to survivors of sexual violence. You can sponsor a box for $25 and donate in honor of someone, if you wish. Each Haven Box contains unused items that we hope will bring comfort to Survivors. Inside you'll find:

College Care KitsIn 2022, we graciously received a generous donation from the RI Chapter of 100 Women Who Care, that afforded us the opportunity to provide care kits to support student-survivors at Rhode Island colleges and universities who seek support at their school's advocacy, counseling, or medical centers.
Similar to our comfort boxes, students receive water, a resource booklet, journal, adult coloring book and pencils, along with personal care items. New items include:
